Where is Leonardo?

Last Monday, Miss Fabri went to visit Year 2. She looked really worried and Miss Onorato asked her if there was anything wrong. She explained that when she got to school she found that Leonardo was not in his usual spot, on the book shelf. She described how in the morning she usually says hello to her teacher friends and then when she opens the door to her office she says hello to Leonardo, but Leoardo was not there. At first she thought that he may have been sitting on her chair reading one of the books from her shelf; Leonardo often pretended to be the principal of St Patrick's. When she found her chair empty she started to be concerned. She looked in her cupboard, under her desk, in her filing cabinet, on the window ledge and  behind the door. She even looked in the bin. He was nowhere to be seen. Miss Fabri heard that Year 2 had been learning about how to write descriptions and she thought that perhaps the children would be able to help her by making some 'Lost' posters for her. They were all very thoughtful and agreed to help her out. "I can't wait", she said excitedly and she felt reassured that with their help Leonardo will be found. Where are you Leonardo? Has anyone seen him?

  1. Dear Miss Fabri,
We are sorry to hear you have lost Leonardo. We hope we find him for you! We have started gathering information to help you find Leonardo. We have discussed with our teachers about what needs to be on a 'lost' poster. In class, we have started to write a description about Leonardo. It has been difficult to describe him because Leonardo looks unusual. We are all trying our best to describe him exactly the way he looks.
Later in the week, we will to start design and create our 'Lost' posters to help you find your friend, Leonardo.
Soon, we will share some of our posters with you. We hope you feel better. We will definitely help you find him.
    From Year 2.

  2. Hello Year 2
Thank you for responding to my appeal. I know that with your help we will find out where Leonardo is. I agree he is an unusual looking monster but I like him all the same. He is always so kind and loves listening to children. They love playing with his funny green hair and gold earring. They don't mind that he does not look like them. I cannot wait to read some of your Lost Posters. I am sure that when we find Leonardo he will love looking at them too. He is still learning how to read.
